Dr Jennifer Hinton
Dr. Hinton is recognized as a world leader in her field. Prior to joining Auranda, Dr. Hinton spent 15 years advising multinational companies and the World Bank, USAID, UNIDO, the German Government, the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency, and a range of other governments and agencies with regard to the wellbeing of artisanal miners and their families. She has extensive field experience in Africa, South America, Asia and North America. Her expertise ranges from mine feasibility, planning and development to improving the technical, environmental, occupational safety, and economic performance of small scale mines. Dr. Hinton holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering, a Masters of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering, and a Doctorate in Mining Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Mr Lamb was a securities lawyer before co-founding several enterprises in mining, technology, and other fields. He co-founded and was a director of M2 Cobalt before it was sold to Jervois Mining, where is currently Counsel and Uganda Operations Manager. He co-founded TSX-listed producer Goldgroup Mining Inc. and served on the board of directors of The Uzhuralzoloto Group, Russia’s third-largest gold producer. Uzhuralzoloto operates a range of underground, open pit, and alluvial mines across southwestern Russia and Siberia and has over 14m oz Au in resource and reserve. Mr Lamb holds an MSc from London Business School, where he was a Sloan Fellow, a JD from the University of British Colombia, and a BA from the University of Victoria. Mr Lamb is focused on the wellbeing of vulnerable people, and those who need a "leg up". To that end he has, inter alia, mentored entrepreneurs in North Africa and the Middle East through the German organization enpact e.V., and cofounded Emmetros Limited which creates technology to enhance the lives of people affected by memory dementias such as Alzheimer's.
